Kittitas Conservation District helps producers improve efficiency in water usage, August 19, 2019
As hot dry summers translate to more frequent droughts and less water for irrigators, the Kittitas County Conservation District is working to find methods to help producers improve their efficiency when it comes to water usage.
At the forefront of the options the district offers to producers is help with making the conversion to sprinkler-based irrigation. District Manager Anna Lael said conversion has been an ongoing trend in the valley and that the district has a list of producers interested in making the change.
“We’ve been working on that list,” she said.
