Request for Proposal-Auditing Services

The Washington Association of Conservation Districts (WACD), a 501(c)(6) business association, invites proposals for the following auditing and related financial services:

(a)        BY 6/27/2017 or within 30 days thereafter: a complete organizational Financial Audit for federal and state tax compliance;

(b)       BY 6/27/2017 or within 30 days thereafter: a systems Audit to include a review of salaries, payroll, leave and time accounting, bookkeeping, and other critical systems for legal compliance and to apply best management practices;

(c)        BY 6/27/2017 or within 30 days thereafter:  a Management letter.

All proposals must include:

(a)        Evidence of the firm’s qualifications to provide the above services;

(b)       Background and experience in auditing nonprofit clients;

(c)        Statement of the firm’s understanding of work to be performed, including tax and   non-audit services;

(d)       A proposed general timeline for fieldwork and final reporting;

(e)        Proposed fee structure, and the maximum fee that would be charged;

(f)        Describe your billing rates and procedures for technical questions that may come up during the year, or whether these occasional services are covered in the proposed fee structure;

(g)       Names of the partner, audit manager, and field staff who will be assigned to our audit; and

(h)       References and contact information from at least 2 comparable nonprofit audit clients.

Your proposal must be received by close of business on 3/14/2017. Send your proposal to  The WACD President will review all proposals and make a decision, in consultation with the WACD Executive Committee and/or Board, regarding the choice of auditors.
